Role of Exosomes in the Metastasis of Cancer
Updated On Nov 28, 2017
Exosomes are small bubbles secreted by cells that contain proteins, DNA, miRNA within a lipid bilayered membrane. This tiny molecular cargo plays an instrumental role to create a pre-metastatic niche at the secondary site of cancer proliferation. Our research focuses on the exosomes secreted by colon cancer cell lines and how they help the spread of cancer to the liver and brian.
